Underwhelming peaches, an inaccessible golf course, but the climb up the historic steps makes it all worth it…

Before you jump on me about the peaches, I do realize I was not in Georgia at the right time to get some of the famous Georgia peaches…guess I will have to make a return journey to get the full experience with the big juicy peaches. That being said, I couldn’t leave the state without at least eating a peach in the state, so I purchased some not so ripe peaches and they are actually now pretty good as I sit eating them two states away in North Carolina.

The city that reminded me sports teams have left St. Louis before…

To be honest, spending 5 days in Atlanta wasn’t on my list at the beginning of the year. On a slight diversion off course, I ended up there for almost a week and could have easily filled another week. Keeping an open mind is one of the goals of the trip, so jumping on an opportunity to get up to Atlanta was something I simply couldn’t pass up.

Atlanta was the first city on my journey through the state of Georgia and the last minute decision was rewarded with some unique experiences.
